Let me say this is one of the most well written articles on Microsoft and how badly they are performing at a time when a major shake out of how we use our computers is about to explode on the scene.

Here are some things to consider.

I run my entire business thru the browser.

I use social media to pull in leads.

I don't spend a cent to make money.

My machine is a piece of junk, it is five years old and would never run a Vista OS, it is a old dual core and 1GB of ram.

It boots W2k in under 60 seconds, runs 50 to 300 Firefox tabs at the same time and never locks up, NEVER. W2K, yeah, really.

I run a browser OS, all I use W2K for is to boot the machine.

I use Google apps to do everything I need, I don't embed any software and I rarely out run my 1GB of ram.

Now is where the flames will come from...

Google is not about anything but becoming a Browser OS.

50 high end apps I can use to run a very profitable online business.

All tied together with social Google Friend Connect features. And it is now in full release.

YouTube's new social features is really Google Friend Connect. The number two search engine in the world is using social interaction to determine search results.

So, Google takes everything they have and dominates social networking in all their apps so they become even more popular because now we can use them for viral marketing and make money.

Then they use all the demographic data to laser target AdSense ads making even more money.

One day we wake up and realize the average computer user needs only Linux to boot the machine, that they really only use a browser to go online and consume everything the need thru a free browser.

Then they never buy a Windows machine again, becuase they can buy a $99 Linux Google ready machine 24 hours a day at Walmart.

In fact Unbuntu was called by Cnet "as slick as OS X or Windows 7" and that is a real first for Linux to go main stream.

All my friends are 20 something kids, they all get EVERYTHING they need thru the browser. Even my big gamer buddies only play WOW, thru the browser.

My best friends are commercial electricians and plumbers and they get everything thru the browser.

They don't need a $300 Windows license, all they need is a Unbuntu Linux box.

We just took a Windows 98 piece of junk we found in the trash and reformatted it with Unbuntu and it out screams any Windows machine my server admin buddies can build. FREE....

Think about all that and then tell me Microsoft's days are not numbered.
